A playful living room that wants a coffee table with an organic shape
Rectangles and circles fill most living rooms, and a single organic shape can soften a whole space full of straight lines.
Megha's top is cut in the soft outline of a cloud, over a curving taupe base, so the table feels relaxed and a little playful.
Four decisions
A cloud-shaped top
The white top is cut in a soft, lobed outline like a cloud, with no corners anywhere.
A curving taupe base
The taupe base curves beneath the top, following its outline at a slight inset.
Walnut trim
A band of walnut trims the base, a warm line between the taupe and the white.
Slim metal legs
Slim metal legs lift the whole form so it seems to float above the rug.
Materials, named
As shown, a white sintered-stone top cut to a cloud outline, over a taupe powder-coated base with walnut trim, on slim metal legs.
The making
The cloud outline is cut from the stone slab by water jet and its edge hand-finished, and the taupe base is shaped to follow it.
The finished piece
It suits a relaxed living room with curved sofas, soft rugs and plenty of daylight.
The Megha is made to order in our own factory in Cherlapally, drawn at our Gachibowli studio, and delivered to Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Tellapur and beyond.
