How to choose a centre table for your living room
The centre table is the piece every guest sees first and every family member reaches across a hundred times a day. It holds tea, the newspaper, the remote and the festival sweets, so it needs a top that takes heat and stains and a size that leaves room to walk.
A good rule is a table about two thirds the length of the sofa, set 40 to 45 cm from the seat edge, and about the same height as the seat cushion or a little lower.
Nesting coffee tables
Nesting tables are two or three tables at different heights that slide together or apart. They suit Indian living rooms that change from a family evening to a room full of guests. We make 80 nesting sets, such as the Hema nesting tables, Tamra nesting tables and Kankana nesting tables.
Marble and sintered stone centre tables
Most of our tops are sintered stone in marble looks, from white Statuario and grey-veined Carrara to gold-brown onyx patterns, because it resists heat, stains and scratches. Gold, bronze and black bases
Bases come in gold, rose-gold, bronze and gunmetal PVD on stainless steel, which does not tarnish, and in matte powder-coat and lacquer. Gold base centre tables include the Venu nesting tables, Nemi centre table and Panjara centre table.
Fluted drum and pedestal tables
Drums and pedestals have no legs to trip over or clean round, and fluted or slatted drums catch the light, as on the Bindu centre table, Kumuda centre table set and Tabla nesting tables.
Coffee tables with storage
