A living room that wants a coffee table with an organic, floral form
Straight-edged furniture fills most rooms, and a single floral shape can soften a whole living room.
Padma's top is cut in the outline of a lotus flower, with a sunburst veneer, and its side table repeats the shape in miniature.
Four decisions
A lotus outline
The Padma top is cut in a soft, petalled outline like a lotus flower, with no corners anywhere.
A sunburst pattern
The walnut veneer radiates from the centre in a sunburst, so the grain follows the petals.
A taupe base with a drawer
A curving taupe base beneath the top follows its outline and hides a drawer for the remote.
A matching side table
A smaller flower-shaped side table stands on a walnut drum, repeating the lotus in miniature.
Materials, named
As shown, a walnut-veneered flower-shaped top in a sunburst pattern over a taupe lacquered base with a drawer, with a matching side table on a walnut drum.
The making
The flower outline is cut from a stable core and veneered in a sunburst, the taupe base lacquered and the drawer fitted on runners.
The finished piece
It suits a soft, organic living room with curved sofas and natural textiles.
Each Padma is factory-made in Hyderabad and installed by our own team, whether the home is a penthouse in Kokapet or a villa off the Gandipet road.
