A corner that wants a side table with a pattern of light and shadow
A side table in a sunny corner throws its own shadow onto the floor, and that shadow can be beautiful.
Jaali crosses its gold rods into a cage like a carved stone jaali, so light falls through it in a pattern on the floor.
Four decisions
A crossed-rod cage
Gold rods cross on every side of the base, like the lattice of a carved jaali screen.
Light and shadow
Sunlight falls through the cage and draws a lattice of shadow on the floor.
About 50 cm across
As shown the round top is about 50 cm across, sized for a lamp and a cup.
Seen from all sides
The cage looks the same from every angle, so the table can stand anywhere in the room.
Materials, named
As shown, a round white top about 50 cm across on a crossed-rod cage of gold PVD stainless steel; stone or glass tops are available.
The making
Each rod is cut and angled, welded at every crossing and ground clean, and the cage polished and finished in gold PVD.
The finished piece
Set it in a sunny corner beside a reading chair, where the light can fall through its cage.
The Jaali is made to order in our own factory in Cherlapally, drawn at our Gachibowli studio, and delivered to Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Tellapur and beyond.
