A round coffee table that should look different from every chair
Most round coffee tables look the same from every side of the room, which is calm but rarely memorable.
Ananta stands its top on gold rings that cross at angles, so the base changes shape as you move round the room.
Four decisions
Crossed rings
Several gold rings cross beneath the top at different angles, forming an endless, interlocking shape.
No start or end
The rings have no visible joins, so the eye travels round them without stopping.
A round top
The round white top seats a group around it without corners or a fixed direction.
Grey veining
Soft grey veining in the white stone keeps attention on the gold rings below.
Materials, named
As shown, a round white sintered-stone top with grey veining on crossed rings of gold PVD stainless steel.
The making
Each ring is rolled and its seam welded and ground away, the rings are crossed and joined on a jig, then polished and finished in gold PVD.
The finished piece
It suits a formal living room where the coffee table is seen from a sofa and two armchairs.
The Ananta is drawn at our Gachibowli studio, made in our own factory, and delivered across Hyderabad, from Hitec City and Madhapur to Kokapet and Banjara Hills.
