A sofa that wants a tall-looking, elegant side table
A plain stem is practical but can look like a lamp post, with nothing to catch the eye.
Dhvaja bands its black stem with gold rings, like a temple flagstaff, and edges its top in gold to match.
Four decisions
Gold-ringed stem
Gold rings band the black stem at intervals, like the rings on a temple dhvaja stambha.
A gold-edged top
A gold rim edges the round top, tying it to the rings on the stem below.
A round black base
A round black base sits flat on the floor and keeps the tall stem steady.
About 60 cm across
As shown the top is about 60 cm across, generous for a lamp and a cup together.
Materials, named
As shown, a round sintered-stone top about 60 cm across in a gold PVD rim, on a black powder-coated steel stem with gold rings and a round black base.
The making
The stem is welded to a weighted base, powder-coated black, and the gold rings and rim finished in PVD and fitted by hand.
The finished piece
Set it beside a black or grey sofa, with a tall lamp and a book on top.
The Dhvaja is made in our own factory and delivered across Hyderabad, from Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills to Kokapet, Narsingi and the Financial District.
