A living room that wants the glow of onyx at a sensible weight
Natural onyx is beautiful, but a full onyx table is heavy, fragile and costly for a room that sees daily use.
Sharad uses an onyx-pattern sintered stone, gold and brown like autumn light, on a black drum, with a smaller top on a black stand beside it.
Four decisions
An onyx pattern
Gold and brown bands run through the white top, like the layers in a slab of onyx.
A black drum
A black lacquered drum carries the main top to the floor, solid and calm beneath the pattern.
A smaller stand
A smaller matching top on a slim black stand sits beside it for a lamp or a plant.
Autumn tones
Gold, brown and black give the set the warm, low light of a Sharad evening after the monsoon.
Materials, named
As shown, a round white sintered-stone top in an onyx pattern on a black lacquered drum, with a matching side top on a black stand; natural onyx is available.
The making
Both tops are cut from one slab so the gold-brown bands continue between them, and the drum is built in engineered wood and lacquered black.
The finished piece
It suits a living room with a cream or camel sofa, brass lamps and warm evening lighting.
We make the Sharad in our own Hyderabad factory and deliver it ourselves, to apartments in Kondapur and Madhapur as readily as to villas in Narsingi.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
