A dark living room that wants a fluted drum table with storage
Fluted drum coffee tables are popular, but most are solid and give no storage at all for the remote or the coasters.
Kumuda hides a walnut drawer inside its black fluted drum, and adds a side table shaped like a three-petal water lily.
Four decisions
A black fluted drum
The drum is fluted in black, so it ripples with light while staying dark and quiet.
A walnut drawer
A drawer faced in walnut opens from the drum, warm against the black.
A three-petal side table
The side table's walnut top has three petals, like a water lily, on black blades.
Black veined stone
The round black top is veined in white, dramatic and easy to wipe.
Materials, named
As shown, a black sintered-stone top with white veining over a black lacquered fluted drum with a walnut drawer, with a walnut-veneered petal side table on black blades.
The making
The fluted drum is built and lacquered black, the walnut drawer fitted on runners, and the petal top cut and veneered in walnut.
The finished piece
It suits a dark, moody living room with a velvet sofa and low lighting.
