A living room with nowhere to keep blankets, games and cushions
Living rooms gather throws, board games and spare cushions, and without a cupboard they end up piled on a chair or the floor.
Sandook is a chest disguised as a coffee table: its cream box opens with lift-up panels, so a whole season's clutter disappears.
Four decisions
Lift-up panels
The panels of the cream box lift up to reveal deep storage for throws, games and cushions.
A black rim
A black rim outlines the white top, giving the square box a crisp, finished edge.
Deep, square storage
The square box holds far more than a drawer, which makes it the room's storage chest.
A clean top
The white top stays clear, because everything else lives inside the chest beneath it.
Materials, named
As shown, a white top in a black rim over a cream lacquered storage box with lift-up panels, on engineered wood with metal hinges.
The making
The box is built in engineered wood, lacquered cream in several coats, and its lift-up panels hung on soft-close metal hinges so they open and settle gently.
The finished piece
It suits a family living room or a TV room where blankets and games need a home within reach of the sofa.
The Sandook is made in our own factory and delivered across Hyderabad, from Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills to Kokapet, Narsingi and the Financial District.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
