A living room that wants a centre table to be its piece of art
Many living rooms have a plain sofa, a plain rug and a plain table, and the room ends up with nothing for the eye to rest on.
Sagara puts the colour and drama into the coffee table itself: a blue-green stone that reads like deep water, set low on a black plinth.
Four decisions
A labradorite-look top
The Sagara top is sintered stone patterned in the blues and greens of labradorite, a stone people stop to look at.
A low black plinth
A black plinth carries the top close to the floor, so the stone is seen from every seat in the room.
A second level
A smaller matching top on a dark metal bracket steps up beside the main table, a perch for a cup or a candle.
Square for a group
The square shape suits seating arranged on more than one side, around a rug.
Materials, named
As shown, sintered stone in a labradorite pattern on a black lacquered plinth, with the second top on a dark metal bracket. A natural blue stone such as labradorite or Pandora quartzite can be cut instead.
The making
The plinth is built in engineered wood and lacquered black in several coats; the two tops are cut from one slab so their pattern runs on from one to the other.
The finished piece
It suits a living room with a neutral sofa and rug, where the coffee table becomes the colour and the conversation piece.
We make the Sagara in our own Hyderabad factory and deliver it ourselves, to apartments in Kondapur and Madhapur as readily as to villas in Narsingi.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
