Pot-shaped pedestals
Each cream pedestal swells like a matka, the round clay pot that keeps water cool.
Gold collars
A thin gold collar rings the neck of each pedestal, a small piece of jewellery in a pale set.
White tops
Round white sintered-stone tops sit above the cream, almost the same tone, soft and bright.
Pale on pale
Cream and white keep the nest light, so it never darkens a sunny ivory living room.

The making
The pedestals are spun from steel in two halves, welded, ground and powder-coated cream, and the gold collars finished separately and fitted.
