A modern room that wants side tables in one quiet colour
Side tables in mixed materials can add clutter to a modern room that is otherwise calm and tonal.
Patra is a pair made entirely in one matte charcoal, tray and pedestal alike, so they read as two simple sculptures.
Four decisions
Tray tops
Each top is a spun metal tray with a raised rim, so a cup that tips stays on the table.
Bell pedestals
Each tray stands on a bell-shaped pedestal, weighted at the foot for stability.
One colour
Tray and pedestal are both matte charcoal, so the pair reads as one quiet form.
Two heights
The tables stand at different heights, so they overlap neatly beside a sofa.
Materials, named
As shown, spun steel tray tops on bell pedestals, all in matte charcoal powder-coat; any powder-coat or PVD colour is possible.
The making
The Patra trays are spun from flat steel and the bells formed and welded, then the pair is powder-coated together so their colour matches exactly.
The finished piece
Set them beside a grey sofa or a black leather chair in a modern living room.
The Patra is made to order in our own factory in Cherlapally, drawn at our Gachibowli studio, and delivered to Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Tellapur and beyond.
