The brief

A sofa that wants two small tables with a sense of occasion

Side tables are often an afterthought, small metal pieces that do their job and add nothing to the room.

Ghanta turns the pair into objects: metal trays in black and gold, balanced on bells of smoky glass.

Four decisions

Smoky glass bells

Each tray sits on a bell of smoky glass, translucent and softly reflective.

Raised-rim trays

The tops are spun metal trays with raised rims, so a tipped cup stays on the table.

Black and gold

One tray is black and one gold, a pair that can stand together or apart.

Two heights

The tables stand at different heights, so they can overlap without colliding.

Materials, named

As shown, spun steel tray tops, one in black powder-coat and one in gold PVD, on smoked glass bell pedestals.

The making

The Ghanta trays are spun from flat steel and finished, and the glass bells are formed and tinted before the trays are fixed securely to them.

The finished piece

Set them beside a sofa or a reading chair, with a lamp on the taller one and a cup on the lower.

The Ghanta is drawn at our Gachibowli studio, made in our own factory, and delivered across Hyderabad, from Hitec City and Madhapur to Kokapet and Banjara Hills.

Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.

Questions

Questions about the Ghanta side tables

Is a glass bell base stable?

Yes. The Ghanta bells are heavy, wide at the foot and fixed to their trays, so the tables stand steady.

Can the Ghanta trays both be gold?

Yes. The trays can both be gold, both black, or any PVD or powder-coat colour.

Can the Ghanta side tables be made in Italian marble or onyx?

Yes. The Ghanta shown is spun steel trays on smoked glass; the same design can take a top of Italian marble, onyx or Pandora quartzite, and you choose the slab yourself at our Gachibowli studio.

How much does the Ghanta side tables cost, and how do I order it?

The price depends on the size and materials you choose, so we quote once the Ghanta is drawn to your room, factory direct with no showroom markup. Book a design session at our Gachibowli studio, or send photographs of the room the Ghanta is for on WhatsApp.
