A living room that wants a moody, monsoon-grey centre table
White stone dominates coffee tables, but in a room with dark walls or leather sofas a white top can look stark.
Varsha uses a storm-grey stone swirled with darker veins, like monsoon clouds, on a drum in the same deep grey.
Four decisions
Monsoon-grey stone
The Varsha top is grey sintered stone with dark, swirling veins that recall a monsoon sky.
A rounded square
The rounded-square shape suits seating on several sides while keeping the corners soft.
A dark grey drum
A dark grey drum carries the top straight to the floor, with no legs to clean round.
Tone on tone
Grey stone on a grey drum gives the table depth without contrast, a calm, moody piece.
Materials, named
As shown, a grey sintered-stone top with dark swirling veining on a charcoal lacquered drum; the drum can be any lacquer colour.
The making
The drum is built in engineered wood and lacquered charcoal in several coats, and the top is cut so its swirling veins run across the whole surface.
The finished piece
It suits a moody living room with charcoal or deep green walls, a leather sofa and warm lighting.
The Varsha is drawn at our Gachibowli studio, made in our own factory, and delivered across Hyderabad, from Hitec City and Madhapur to Kokapet and Banjara Hills.
