The brief

A modern room that wants a monochrome pair on slim, sharp bases

Drum bases are solid and calm, but a modern room can want the floor to show beneath its tables.

Sandhi stands its black and white tops on black blades that cross like a joint, slim from the side and strong in every direction.

Four decisions

Cross-blade bases

Two flat black blades cross beneath each top, thin from the side and steady in all directions.

Black and white tops

One top is black veined in white and the other white veined in grey, a mirrored pair.

The floor shows

The slim blades leave most of the floor visible, so the pair feels light.

Two heights

The smaller table slides beside the larger, the blades of the two bases interlocking.

Materials, named

As shown, round sintered-stone tops, one black with white veining and one white with grey veining, on black lacquered cross-blade bases.

Sintered stone Polished
Body Black, satin lacquer over engineered wood

The making

Each blade is cut from engineered board, slotted to cross the other, lacquered black in several coats and fixed beneath its top.

The finished piece

They suit a modern monochrome living room with a white sofa and a black-and-white rug.

Each Sandhi is factory-made in Hyderabad and installed by our own team, whether the home is a penthouse in Kokapet or a villa off the Gandipet road.

Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.

Questions

Questions about the Sandhi nesting tables

How is the Sandhi different from the Chatushpatha nesting tables?

Both use cross-blade bases; the Sandhi tops are both veined, the Chatushpatha has one plain white top.

Can the Sandhi blades be walnut?

Yes. The cross blades can be veneered in walnut or oak, or lacquered in any colour.

What material options are there for the Sandhi nesting tables?

As photographed, the Sandhi is sintered stone on black lacquer. Because we make the Sandhi to order in our own factory, its top can be cut instead in natural Italian marble, onyx or Pandora quartzite, and its base finished in another PVD colour or powder-coat.

How do I get the Sandhi nesting tables made to my size?

Share the measurements of the room the Sandhi is for on WhatsApp, or bring them to our Gachibowli studio. We draw the Sandhi to fit, agree its materials with you, and quote factory direct.
