A sofa that wants two different shapes working as one pair
Two round tables can look repetitive, and a long sofa often needs one long surface and one round one beside it.
Mithuna pairs a circle and a rectangle on matching black stepped pedestals, two different shapes made for each other.
Four decisions
Two shapes
One round top and one rectangular top give the pair contrast and more ways to arrange them.
Stepped pedestals
Both tables stand on black pedestals that rise in steps, tying the two shapes together.
Grey-veined stone
Matching white tops veined in grey are cut from one slab so they read as a pair.
Flexible
The rectangle sits along the sofa and the circle slides in front, or moves to a chair.
Materials, named
As shown, round and rectangular white sintered-stone tops with grey veining on stepped pedestals of black powder-coated steel.
The making
The stepped pedestals are built from welded steel rings, ground and powder-coated black, and both tops cut from one slab.
The finished piece
They suit a long living room with a three-seat sofa and an armchair or two.
We build the Mithuna in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.
