A warm, earthy living room that wants a fluted nesting set
White stone dominates nesting tables, but in an earthy room of wood, leather and linen it can look too bright.
Nala uses a brown-grey stone, the colour of a riverbed, on legs shaped like slim black fluted columns, like reeds by the water.
Four decisions
Brown-grey stone
The round tops are a warm brown-grey, like river stone, softer than white in an earthy room.
Fluted column legs
Each leg is a slim black column fluted in fine ribs, like a stand of reeds.
Texture in the legs
The flutes catch light down every leg, so the black never looks flat.
A nest
Two heights tuck together in front of the sofa and slide apart when guests arrive.
Materials, named
As shown, round brown-grey sintered-stone tops on fluted column legs of black powder-coated steel; white or beige stone is available.
The making
The fluted legs are formed from ribbed steel profiles, welded to the frames and powder-coated black, and the tops cut from one slab.
The finished piece
They suit an earthy living room with a leather sofa, linen cushions and a jute rug.
We build the Nala in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.
