A living room that wants a gold base with an open, airy look
Solid gold pedestals are bright but heavy, and in a busy living room they can feel like too much metal.
Vamsha builds each base from slim vertical gold rods, like a stand of bamboo, open and airy beneath an onyx-pattern top.
Four decisions
Vertical rods
Slim gold rods stand round each base like a bamboo grove, open so light passes through.
An onyx pattern
White tops carry gold-brown veining like onyx, echoing the warm colour of the rods.
Airy gold
The open rods give the glow of gold with far less visual weight than a solid base.
Two heights
The smaller table nests beside the larger, so the pair overlaps neatly at the sofa.
Materials, named
As shown, round white sintered-stone tops with gold-brown onyx veining on frames of vertical gold PVD stainless steel rods.
The making
Each rod is cut to length, welded into its top and bottom rings, polished and finished in gold PVD, and the tops cut from one slab.
The finished piece
They suit a light living room with a cream sofa, brass lamps and plants.
The Vamsha is made to order in our own factory in Cherlapally, drawn at our Gachibowli studio, and delivered to Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Tellapur and beyond.
