The brief

A living room that wants gold with an open, woven feel

A solid gold base gives a lot of shine but also a lot of weight, which can crowd a small room.

Tantu crosses slim gold rods beneath each top, like threads stretched on a loom, so the frame is open and light.

Four decisions

Crossed rods

Slim gold rods cross beneath each top like the warp threads on a handloom.

Open and light

Light passes between the rods, so the tables add gold without adding weight.

White tops

Round white sintered-stone tops sit above the crossing rods, crisp and easy to clean.

A nest

The tables stand at two heights and overlap neatly in front of a sofa.

Materials, named

As shown, round white sintered-stone tops on crossed-rod frames of gold PVD stainless steel; Italian marble tops are available.

Sintered stone White, polished
Stainless steel Gold PVD finish

The making

Each rod is cut, angled and welded where it crosses the others, then the frames are polished and finished in gold PVD.

The finished piece

They suit a compact living room with a light sofa, where the gold should sparkle without crowding.

We make the Tantu in our own Hyderabad factory and deliver it ourselves, to apartments in Kondapur and Madhapur as readily as to villas in Narsingi.

Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.

Questions

Questions about the Tantu nesting tables

Is the Tantu a gold base nesting table?

Yes. Each table stands on a frame of crossed gold PVD rods under a white stone top.

Is there a single side table in the same design?

Yes. The Sutra side table uses the same gold crossed-rod frame under a single round top.

Sintered stone or Italian marble: which is better for the Tantu nesting tables?

On the Tantu, sintered stone, as photographed, is harder and needs no sealing; Italian marble is softer and needs sealing, but every slab is one of a kind. The Tantu can be made with either, on gold PVD stainless steel.

Where can I order the Tantu nesting tables in Hyderabad?

You can order the Tantu at our design studio in Gachibowli, or on WhatsApp. We draw the Tantu to your room, show you its materials as samples, and give you a factory-direct quote before anything is made.
