A warm living room that wants nesting tables in timber tones
Cone pedestals are elegant, but in black or gold they can feel cold against timber floors and leather sofas.
Shikhara pairs walnut tops with cones in a matching tan, so the whole pair sits in the warm palette of the room.
Four decisions
Tan cones
Each table stands on a tan cone, wide at the floor and narrowing like a peak beneath the top.
Walnut tops
Round walnut tops warm the pair and suit timber floors and furniture.
Tonal colour
Tan cones under walnut tops keep the pair in one warm, tonal palette.
A nesting pair
The smaller table tucks beside the larger and moves easily to a chair.
Materials, named
As shown, walnut-veneered tops on cone pedestals of tan powder-coated steel; the cones can be any colour and the tops stone.
The making
The cones are spun from steel and powder-coated tan, and the walnut tops veneered, lacquered and fixed to them.
The finished piece
They suit a warm living room with a leather sofa, a jute rug and timber floors.
The Shikhara is made to order in our own factory in Cherlapally, drawn at our Gachibowli studio, and delivered to Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Tellapur and beyond.
