Manjusha hides a drawer inside its walnut drum, and adds a smoked-glass side table for the lamp and the cup.

A hidden drawer
A drawer is built into the walnut drum, hidden until it is pulled open for the remote or the coasters.
A stone inset
A veined sintered-stone inset in the walnut top resists rings from hot cups and cold glasses.
A black rim
A black rim frames the round top and protects its edge from knocks and wear.
A glass side table
A smoked-glass side table on a black pedestal stands beside it, for a lamp or a cup within reach.
Materials, named

The making
The drum is built in engineered wood and veneered in walnut, the drawer fitted on metal runners, and the stone inset set flush into the top.

It suits a family living room where clutter needs a home, in front of a deep fabric or leather sofa.
