The brief

A living room that wants gold cages without a polished shine

Polished gold cages sparkle, which suits evening rooms but can feel loud in a sunny, everyday living room.

Kunja builds its cages in matte yellow gold, soft as light through a garden bower, under grey-veined white tops.

Four decisions

Cage frames

Each table stands on a cage of rods, open on all sides like a garden bower.

Matte yellow gold

The cages are powder-coated matte yellow gold, the colour of gold with no glare.

Grey-veined tops

White tops veined in grey sit above the cages, calm and easy to wipe.

An everyday gold

Matte gold suits a sunny living room used every day, not just for parties.

Materials, named

As shown, round white sintered-stone tops with grey veining on cage frames of matte yellow-gold powder-coated steel.

The making

The cage rods are cut and welded to top and bottom rings, ground smooth and powder-coated matte yellow gold.

The finished piece

They suit a sunny everyday living room with a light sofa and plants.

We build the Kunja in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.

Questions

Questions about the Kunja nesting tables

Does matte gold look like real gold?

It has the colour of gold with a soft, non-reflective surface, calmer than polished gold PVD.

Can the Kunja cages be polished gold?

Yes. The cages can be finished in polished gold PVD instead of matte powder-coat.

What material options are there for the Kunja nesting tables?

As photographed, the Kunja is sintered stone on gold powder-coated steel. Because we make the Kunja to order in our own factory, its top can be cut instead in natural Italian marble, onyx or Pandora quartzite, and its base finished in another PVD colour or powder-coat.

How do I get the Kunja nesting tables made to my size?

Share the measurements of the room the Kunja is for on WhatsApp, or bring them to our Gachibowli studio. We draw the Kunja to fit, agree its materials with you, and quote factory direct.
