A round table that wants the clean line of a V
A V-shaped pedestal usually sits beneath a rectangular top. Beneath a round top it needs a round foot to look right.
Model 209 sets the walnut V on a round plinth, so it belongs beneath a round table and keeps every seat around it free.
Four decisions
A V
Two walnut arms rise from a single point, wide beneath the top and narrow at the floor.
A round plinth
The round plinth repeats the round top above, so the table reads as one design from every side.
One central support
Chairs can be set anywhere round the table, because no leg ever gets in the way.
Warm walnut
The warm timber softens a cool white or grey stone top and suits timber floors.
Materials, named
Solid wood with a walnut finish; a display top is shown in the photograph, and yours can be any stone.
The making
The V is shaped from solid timber, its arms checked for symmetry against a template, then finished in walnut and fixed to the round plinth.
The finished piece
Under a round white marble top it makes a calm table for four in a square dining room.
The 209 is made to order in our own factory in Cherlapally, drawn at our Gachibowli studio, and delivered to Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Tellapur and beyond.
