A living room that wants colour and a light, raised sofa
A deep-coloured velvet sofa can look heavy if it sits low on the floor, especially in a smaller apartment.
Calvi lifts its slate-blue velvet on a slim black frame with tall legs, so the colour reads clearly and the sofa looks light.
Four decisions
Three seats
Three seats in one straight run, sized for the living room of a city apartment.
Slate-blue velvet
A cool slate blue that glows softly under lamps and suits grey walls, white trim and brass lights.
Bolster cushions
Round bolster cushions at each end soften the square outline of the sofa and support a reclining back.
A slim black frame
Tall black legs on a slim frame lift the sofa, so the floor shows beneath it and the room feels larger.
Materials, named
As shown, slate-blue velvet on the whole sofa, on a slim black powder-coated steel frame with tall legs.
The making
The Calvi seat is built on a hardwood frame within the steel frame, sprung and padded, and the velvet cut so its pile runs the same way on every panel.
The finished piece
It suits an apartment living room with white walls, a brass lamp and a pale rug.
The Calvi is made to order in our own factory in Cherlapally, drawn at our Gachibowli studio, and delivered to Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Tellapur and beyond.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
