A living room that wants one sofa to be the statement
Some rooms are built round a single piece, and in a living room that piece is usually the sofa, seen from the door and from every chair.
Cocoon is drawn for that role: a deep curve tufted in vertical channels of teal velvet, wrapping round whoever sits in it like a shell.
Four decisions
A deep curve
The sofa curves round the people sitting in it, so a group of three faces inward and the conversation stays together.
Channel tufting
Vertical channels run all the way round the back and arms, stitched and filled one by one so every line stays crisp.
Teal velvet
Teal velvet is rich and cool at once, and its pile shifts colour as the light changes through the day.
A brass plinth
A low brass plinth lifts the curve just clear of the floor and draws a thin warm line beneath it.
Materials, named
As shown, teal velvet channel-tufted over the whole sofa, on a low plinth in a brass PVD finish; the velvet can be any colour from our swatches.
The making
The curved frame is built in seasoned hardwood sections, sprung and padded, then each channel is sewn and filled by hand so the tufting follows the curve evenly.
The finished piece
It belongs in a living room painted a pale colour, with a round marble centre table set within its curve.
The Cocoon is made in our own factory and delivered across Hyderabad, from Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills to Kokapet, Narsingi and the Financial District.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
