Orbit is the second kind: an egg-shaped shell of cream bouclé that you sink into, turning on a slim bronze pedestal.

An egg shell
The chair is a rounded egg shape that wraps round you, so it is natural to tuck your feet up.
Cream bouclé
Cream bouclé is soft, warm and textured, inviting to touch and forgiving of daily use.
A bronze pedestal
A slim bronze cone pedestal carries the shell and makes it look as if it floats.
A swivel
The shell turns on its pedestal, so the chair can face the room, the window or the conversation.

The making
The egg shell is framed and padded into its rounded form, the bouclé eased round every curve by hand, and the swivel mounted on the bronze pedestal.
The finished piece
It suits a bedroom corner, a reading nook or a living room beside a large window.
