A living room corner that needs one chair which turns to the room
A chair in a corner usually faces one way, so the person in it has to twist to join a conversation or see the window.
Ember turns on a concealed swivel, so it can face the sofa, the television or the view, and its round tub shape holds you snugly.
Four decisions
A round tub
The shell wraps round the seat in one continuous curve, high at the back and lower at the sides.
A swivel
A concealed swivel lets the chair turn to the conversation without being dragged across the floor.
A buttoned seat
The Ember seat is buttoned, which keeps its filling even and gives the bouclé a gentle pattern.
Taupe bouclé
A warm taupe bouclé, soft to the touch and forgiving of the everyday wear of a favourite chair.
Materials, named
As shown, taupe bouclé over the whole chair, with a buttoned seat and a loose back cushion, on a concealed swivel base.
The making
The round shell is framed and padded, the swivel fitted beneath it, and the bouclé eased round the curve by hand so its loops lie evenly.
The finished piece
It suits a reading corner, a bedroom or a living room beside the sofa, where it can turn to face either.
The Ember is drawn at our Gachibowli studio, made in our own factory, and delivered across Hyderabad, from Hitec City and Madhapur to Kokapet and Banjara Hills.
