A dining room that wants the look of onyx with the ease of sintered stone
Onyx is beautiful, but it asks for sealing and coasters. Many families want its warm, swirling colour without changing how they use the table.
St. Moritz uses a sintered-stone top patterned in onyx-like swirls, on a gold base, so it looks like onyx and behaves like sintered stone.
Four decisions
160 × 90 cm
Six seats in a size that suits most apartment dining rooms and leaves space to walk round the table.
Crossed gold loops
Two gold loops cross beneath the top in an X, so the base is braced in both directions without a rail.
A black plate
A black plate grounds the loops and makes a crisp contrast with the gold rising from it towards the top.
Onyx-look stone
Gold and brown swirls give the warmth of onyx in a harder, denser surface that never needs sealing.
Materials, named
Sintered stone in an onyx pattern on the top; loops in gold PVD stainless steel on a black powder-coated plate. A natural onyx top is available on request.
The making
The loops are bent on a former, welded at their crossing and polished before the gold PVD finish; the plate is powder-coated black and the two joined on the bench.
The finished piece
Under warm lighting the swirls glow; pair it with dark velvet chairs in bottle green or burgundy.
We build the St. Moritz in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.
