A round table that wants two tones of gold
Two golds side by side can look like a mistake, unless one is used for the column and the other for the foot, so the change is clearly intended.
Model T060 pairs a curving gold column with a rose-gold plate, a deliberate step from warm to warmer between the top and the floor.
Four decisions
A curved column
The column bends gently as it rises, so the base looks drawn rather than simply manufactured.
A rose-gold plate
A warm rose-gold plate at the foot steadies the column and spreads its weight on the floor.
Two golds
Gold above and rose gold below give the base depth, the way two tones do in jewellery.
One central support
A single column keeps every side of a round table free for chairs and for legs.
Materials, named
A gold PVD stainless steel column on a rose-gold PVD plate, photographed on its mounting frame without a top.
The making
The column is bent and welded, polished and given its gold finish; the plate is cut, polished and finished in rose gold before the two are joined.
The finished piece
Under a round white marble top it makes an elegant breakfast table or a table for two by a window.
