A living room that wants a sofa that gathers people together
Straight sofas line people up in a row, all facing the same way, which is good for television but not for conversation.
Karma curves asymmetrically, so people sitting on it turn towards one another, and its white bouclé makes it soft and inviting.
Four decisions
An asymmetric curve
The curve is deeper at one end than the other, so the sofa has a direction and does not look like a semicircle.
Rounded arms
The Karma arms are rounded and soft, kind to lean on and to the eye in a room of straight lines.
White bouclé
White bouclé is soft, tactile and warm, with a looped texture that hides everyday wear.
For conversation
The curve turns the seats inward, so a small group sits facing each other rather than in a row.
Materials, named
As shown, white bouclé over the whole sofa; it can be made in any bouclé, velvet or fabric from our swatches.
The making
The asymmetric curve is built in seasoned hardwood sections, sprung and padded, and the bouclé eased round every curve by hand.
The finished piece
It suits a living room arranged for conversation, with a low round centre table set within its curve.
We make the Karma in our own Hyderabad factory and deliver it ourselves, to apartments in Kondapur and Madhapur as readily as to villas in Narsingi.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
