A room that wants one piece of bold colour
A neutral room can be lifted by a single piece of strong colour, and an armchair is the easiest place to put it.
Mira is that piece: a squared, sculptural armchair in saturated fuchsia velvet, its arm cut away to give it a graphic outline.
Four decisions
A squared form
The chair is built from square, block-like volumes, so it reads as a piece of sculpture in the room.
A cut-away arm
One arm is cut away beneath, giving the chair its distinctive graphic silhouette from the side.
Fuchsia velvet
A saturated fuchsia velvet, topstitched along its edges, that becomes the colour of the room.
Block feet
Solid block feet ground the chair firmly on the floor and match its squared, architectural form.
Materials, named
As shown, fuchsia velvet topstitched along the edges; it is also drawn in a yellow and navy version, and can be made in any velvet.
The making
The squared frame is built in seasoned hardwood with crisp edges, padded firmly so the blocks keep their shape, and the velvet topstitched along every edge.
The finished piece
Set it in a white or grey living room, a dressing room or a boutique, where its colour is the only accent.
Each Mira is factory-made in Hyderabad and installed by our own team, whether the home is a penthouse in Kokapet or a villa off the Gandipet road.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
