A dining room that wants a classic look with a modern edge
Traditional dining sets with carved aprons can feel old-fashioned, while fully modern tables in glass and steel can feel cold in a family home.
Modena takes the classic shaped apron of a traditional table and sets it on crisp black legs, so the table sits comfortably between the two styles.
Four decisions
150 × 90 cm
Four to six seats in a size that suits a separate dining room or a dining area off the living room.
A shaped apron
A white apron with a gentle curved profile runs beneath the top, the one traditional gesture in an otherwise modern table.
Black legs
Black legs at the corners give the table a graphic outline that reads clearly against pale walls and floors.
Gold veining
Brown and gold veins add warmth to the white top and tie in with brass handles, frames and light fittings.
Materials, named
White sintered stone with brown and gold veining on the top, a white lacquered apron, and legs in black lacquer; the label on this model mentions wood for the frame.
The making
The apron is cut to its profile, sanded and lacquered white; the legs are lacquered black and the two joined so the frame is rigid before the stone is fitted.
The finished piece
It suits a monochrome scheme with black-and-white floor tiles or a patterned rug, and chairs in black or white.
We make the Modena in our own Hyderabad factory and deliver it ourselves, to apartments in Kondapur and Madhapur as readily as to villas in Narsingi.
