One outline, no hard corner
The brief is a dark-walled living room that needs one soft, light piece to lift it, and a sofa that suits a round table in front of it.
It asks for an outline with no hard corner, a textured cover that looks good in lamp light, and a seat you can curl up in.
Four decisions
One rounded outline
The back, arms and seat flow into a single kidney curve, so there is no hard corner anywhere on the sofa.
Textured bouclé
A looped, textured surface that softens the light and hides everyday wear.
Two rust cushions
Two cushions in rust give the cream sofa one deliberate point of colour.
Finishes
Cream is shown. Burgundy and forest green are also offered.
Materials, named
As shown. Any piece can be made in another fabric, velvet or leather, chosen from the swatches in our Gachibowli studio.
The making
The curved frame is built in our factory and upholstered by hand. The bouclé is stretched and stapled over the frame so its loops lie evenly all the way round.
The finished piece
In a living room, Dazee suits a round table in front of it and room to walk around the curve.
