A quiet sofa, drawn in clean lines
The brief is a calm living room with warm timber and little pattern, where the sofa should be quiet and look drawn.
It asks for a light sofa on a dark floor, with the lines clean enough to read from across the room.
Four decisions
A platform base
A slim timber platform runs under the whole sofa and sets it apart from the floor.
Piped edges
Brown piping outlines each cushion and draws the clean lines of the sofa.
Leather straps
A small leather strap with a metal fixing marks each arm.
Deep cushions on metal legs
Deep seat and back cushions rest on slim metal legs, which keeps the floor visible beneath.
Materials, named
As shown. Any piece can be made in another fabric, velvet or leather, chosen from the swatches in our Gachibowli studio.
The making
The cushions are cut and piped in our factory and the cover is stretched over the frame by hand, so the piping lines run straight.
The finished piece
In a living room, the Linea suits a plain wall and a low dark table, with a single brown cushion to tie in the timber.
We build the Linea platform sofa in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
