Channel tufting, in two tones
The brief is a family room where the sofa has to carry the colour in an otherwise quiet space, and still be a place you can sink into after a long day.
It asks for warmth, a soft outline and a seat that looks as comfortable as it is.
Four decisions
Channel tufting
Vertical channels run across the seat and give it a rhythm you can see from the door.
Two tones
Tan on one half and ivory on the other: a split that makes the sofa a feature of the room.
Soft curves
The arms curve outward and the back cushions sit loose, so the sofa looks relaxed rather than rigid.
Ivory cushions
Loose ivory cushions sit against the tan end and the ivory end, tying the two halves together.
Materials, named
As shown. Any piece can be made in another fabric, velvet or leather, chosen from the swatches in our Gachibowli studio.
The making
The channels are stitched into each panel in our factory before the cover goes over the frame, so the lines run true across both tones.
The finished piece
In a living room, Lorenzo works best as the one strong colour: set it against a plain wall, with a low round table in front.
We build the Lorenzo sofa in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
