Bolsters at each end, timber you can see
The brief is a family room that wants warmth and texture more than shine: a sofa to lie along, with arms you can lean on from either end.
It asks for several textures that agree with each other, and timber that shows.
Four decisions
Bolster arms
Each arm is a tufted cylinder, so you can lean back against it or lie along the sofa.
A bouclé seat
A beige bouclé seat and back give a soft, textured surface against the smooth bolsters.
Timber ends and base
A round timber disc closes each bolster, and a timber base frames the seat from below.
Layered cushions
Loose cushions in bouclé and a ribbed fabric add a second texture on the back.
Materials, named
As shown. Any piece can be made in another fabric, velvet or leather, chosen from the swatches in our Gachibowli studio.
The making
The bolsters are tufted and stitched in our factory, then fitted at each end of the frame. The bouclé is stretched and stapled over the seat by hand.
The finished piece
In a living room, the Timber Tuft sits well against a plain wall with a low round timber table in front of it.
We build the Timber Tuft sofa in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
