A dark dining room where a black base could disappear
A black base can vanish into a dark floor, so the table looks as if its top is floating without any reason to.
Model 116 edges its black V in a thin line of gold, which draws the outline of the base and brings it back into view.
Four decisions
A V column
Two arms rise from a single point at the floor, opening wide beneath the top to support it.
A gold edge
A thin gold line traces each edge of the V, like the gilded edge of a black lacquer box.
Black powder-coat
A matte black finish on the faces of the V, which hides fingerprints and scuffs.
A black plate
The V stands on a black plate that grounds it and spreads the weight of the top evenly.
Materials, named
Black powder-coated steel edged with a gold PVD line; a display top is shown in the photograph, and yours is cut to order.
The making
The V is welded from steel plate, ground clean, powder-coated black, and then edged in gold PVD along every outer line.
The finished piece
It suits dark dining rooms with deep green, navy or charcoal walls and brass lighting.
The 116 is made in our own factory and delivered across Hyderabad, from Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills to Kokapet, Narsingi and the Financial District.
