A family that shares dishes at every meal
Indian meals are shared: dal, sabzi, rice and pickles pass back and forth all evening, and someone is always asking for the dish at the far side.
Modica puts a turning lazy Susan at the centre of a round top, so every dish comes round to every diner without anyone reaching across.
Four decisions
A round top
Everyone faces the centre and each other, which is why round tables are the most sociable kind.
A lazy Susan
A rotating stone disc at the centre carries the shared dishes round the table at a touch.
A faceted pedestal
A faceted mirror-steel pedestal catches the light beneath the table and keeps every seat free of legs.
Blue-grey stone
The blue-grey top is cool, calm and easy to wipe after the turmeric and oil of a family meal.
Materials, named
Blue-grey sintered stone for the top and the lazy Susan, on a pedestal of mirror-polished stainless steel. The label lists 130 × 60 cm, which we confirm with you.
The making
The lazy Susan is mounted on a bearing so it turns smoothly under a full load of dishes, and the pedestal faces are welded, ground and polished to a mirror.
The finished piece
It suits families who share every meal, and anyone who hosts big dinners at home on weekends and festivals.
The listed size is 130 × 60 cm; the top shown is round with a lazy Susan, so the diameter is confirmed with you.
Each Modica is factory-made in Hyderabad and installed by our own team, whether the home is a penthouse in Kokapet or a villa off the Gandipet road.
