A round table that needs a strong central column with some interest
A central column has to be strong enough to carry a heavy top on its own, and a plain tube can look too thin for the job.
Model T-109 gives its column an X-shaped section, which makes it stiffer and turns it into four bright edges catching the light.
Four decisions
An X-shaped column
The column is X-shaped in section, four fins meeting at the centre, which makes it far stiffer than a round tube.
Mirror steel
Every face is polished to a mirror, so the column reflects the room and changes as you walk round it.
A black plate
A black plate grounds the bright column and spreads the weight of the top across the floor.
One central support
A single column keeps every side of the table free, so chairs can be set anywhere round it.
Materials, named
Mirror-polished stainless steel on a black powder-coated plate, photographed on its mounting frame; the top is cut to order in stone or glass.
The making
The four fins of the X are cut from steel plate, welded along the centre, ground so the joints disappear and polished to a mirror finish.
The finished piece
It suits a modern dining room or a breakfast table in a kitchen with steel appliances.
Each T-109 is factory-made in Hyderabad and installed by our own team, whether the home is a penthouse in Kokapet or a villa off the Gandipet road.
