A traditional dining room that wants timber legs with rhythm
Plain timber legs suit a traditional dining room, but they can look heavy and plain at the ends of a long table.
Model T179 builds its dark legs in steps, so each end has a rhythm of light and shadow that lightens the whole table.
Four decisions
Two legs
One leg at each end carries the top, leaving the long sides free for six or eight chairs.
Stepped tiers
Each leg is built in tiers that step in and out, which breaks up its mass and casts thin shadow lines.
Dark walnut
The legs are finished in a dark walnut tone that suits traditional rooms and timber floors.
For long tops
It carries tops of 160 to 200 cm, in stone, marble or a thick timber slab.
Materials, named
Solid wood with a dark walnut finish; a display top is shown in the photograph, and yours is cut in the stone you choose.
The making
Each tier is cut and squared, the tiers stacked and glued so the grain runs on, and the legs sanded and finished in dark walnut.
The finished piece
It suits warm, traditional dining rooms with carved chairs and a rug beneath the table.
The T179 is made in our own factory and delivered across Hyderabad, from Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills to Kokapet, Narsingi and the Financial District.
