A living room where people want to sit back and rest their heads
Most modern sofas have low backs that look sleek but leave tall people with nowhere to rest their head after a long day.
Aria raises its back high enough to lean into, and wraps the whole seat in a tan leather base that sweeps up into the arms.
Four decisions
A high back
The back is drawn tall enough to support the head and shoulders, so the sofa is restful for a long evening.
Channelled seats
The seat cushions are channelled, stitched in lines that keep the filling even and give the leather a tailored look.
A sweeping base
A tan leather base wraps round the bottom of the sofa and rises into the arms in one continuous curve.
Two leathers
Ivory on the seat and back with tan on the base gives the sofa contrast without any extra decoration.
Materials, named
As shown, ivory leather on the seat and back with a tan leather base and arms; the leathers are chosen from samples, and can be reversed or changed.
The making
The high back is framed in seasoned hardwood and padded for support, the channels on the seat cushions are sewn one by one, and the leather is drawn over the curves by hand.
The finished piece
It suits a family living room where the sofa is used for watching films and long evenings, beside a timber or stone centre table.
Each Aria is factory-made in Hyderabad and installed by our own team, whether the home is a penthouse in Kokapet or a villa off the Gandipet road.
