A master bedroom that wants a calm, luxurious leather bed
Leather beds can look cold and corporate, but in a warm brown with soft padding they become one of the most inviting pieces in a home.
Elysian pairs a padded brown leather headboard with solid walnut-finished feet, so the bed feels both luxurious and warm.
Four decisions
A curved headboard
The Elysian headboard is padded and gently curved, comfortable to lean against for reading or watching television.
Leather rails
The side rails are upholstered in the same brown leather, so the bed is soft all round.
Walnut block feet
Solid wood block feet in a walnut finish ground the bed and add warmth at the floor.
Brown leather
A warm brown leather that softens and deepens with use, ageing gracefully over the years.
Materials, named
As shown, brown leather over the headboard and rails, on solid wood block feet with a walnut finish; it can be made with a hydraulic storage base.
The making
The leather is cut panel by panel and matched for tone, drawn over the padded headboard and rails by hand, and the walnut feet are shaped and finished.
The finished piece
It suits a master bedroom with warm wood, linen bedding and bedside lamps in brass.
