A minimalist bedroom that wants a low, floating bed
Low platform beds make a bedroom feel calm and spacious, but a bare platform can look unfinished and hard.
Float wraps its low platform and long headboard in tan leather, so the bed looks finished and feels soft to sit on.
Four decisions
A low platform
The platform sits low, so the bed seems to float just above the floor and the room feels larger.
A long headboard
The padded headboard runs long and low, giving the wall a calm horizontal line.
Tan leather
Warm tan leather covers the headboard and platform, soft to the touch and easy to wipe.
A ledge to sit on
The leather platform edge is wide enough to sit on while putting on shoes in the morning.
Materials, named
As shown, tan leather over the platform and padded headboard; it can be made in any leather, and with a hydraulic storage base.
The making
The platform and headboard are built in hardwood and engineered wood, padded, and covered in tan leather cut and stitched to fit exactly.
The finished piece
It suits a minimalist bedroom with white walls, a low bench and a single pendant.
The Float is made in our own factory and delivered across Hyderabad, from Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills to Kokapet, Narsingi and the Financial District.
