A bedroom that wants a bold, comfortable headboard
A thin headboard is uncomfortable to lean against, which matters to anyone who reads, works or watches television in bed.
Saddleback's headboard is deeply padded in black leather, shaped like the seat of a saddle, so it is comfortable for hours.
Four decisions
A deeply padded headboard
The Saddleback headboard is padded deep enough to lean against comfortably for a whole evening of reading in bed.
A saddle shape
Its padded panels are shaped like the seat of a saddle, soft and rounded where your shoulders rest.
Black leather
Deep black leather gives the bed a bold, graphic presence against pale walls and white linen.
Upholstered base
The Saddleback base is upholstered in matching black leather, so the bed is soft and finished on every side.
Materials, named
As shown, black leather over the deeply padded headboard and base; it can be made in any leather, and with a hydraulic storage base.
The making
The headboard panels are padded and shaped, then the leather is drawn over them by hand and stitched so each panel holds its saddle curve.
The finished piece
It suits a bold master bedroom with grey or white walls, crisp white linen and a pair of black bedside lamps.
