Sorrento wraps the whole bed in brown velvet, its rounded headboard curving round the sides, so the bed feels like a warm nest.

A wraparound headboard
The rounded headboard curves forward round the sides of the bed, enclosing the pillows.
Low to the floor
The bed sits low on short black legs, which makes the room feel calm and spacious.
Brown velvet
A deep brown velvet that is warm, rich and soft to lean against while reading in bed.
Rounded corners
Every corner is rounded and upholstered, so the bed is kind to shins and to the eye.
Materials, named
As shown, brown velvet over the headboard and base, on short black legs and a hardwood frame; it can be made with a hydraulic storage base.
The making
The rounded headboard is framed and padded in one sweep, and the velvet is cut so its pile runs the same way all round the bed before it is fitted.
The finished piece
It suits a master bedroom with warm lighting, linen bedding and a deep-pile rug at the foot of the bed.
