Model 017 is a soft barrel shape, wider at its middle and gentle at every edge, so it is kind to everyone who sits at it.
Four decisions
A 120 × 60 cm top
Sized for a four-seat table, a compact dining corner or a writing desk in a study.
A barrel form
The pedestal swells at its middle like a barrel and narrows at the top and the floor.
Soft edges
There are no sharp edges anywhere at knee height, which matters in a home with children.
One support
A single pedestal keeps every side of the table free for chairs and for legs.
Materials, named
Solid wood with a walnut finish; the top in the photograph is a display top, and yours is cut in the stone you choose.
The making
The barrel is built from staves like a cask, glued, then turned and sanded to its curve and finished in walnut.
The finished piece
It makes a soft base for a small dining nook, a reading table or a desk in a bedroom.
