A table that wants movement in its base
Vertical legs look static, and a dining table or a console can afford a base that seems to be moving.
Model M31 leans its two walnut supports in the same direction, so the table looks as if it is about to walk.
Four decisions
A 136 × 60 cm top
A long, slim top that suits a narrow dining room or a console against a wall.
Slanted supports
Two supports lean in the same direction, which gives the base energy and a clear sense of direction.
A rose-gold plate
Both supports stand on one rose-gold plate, a warm line of metal at the floor.
Movement
The lean makes the table look lighter and more alive than an upright base of the same size would.
Materials, named
Solid wood with a walnut finish, on a rose-gold PVD steel plate; a display top is shown in the photograph.
The making
The supports are cut at their angle, shaped and sanded by hand, finished in walnut, then fixed to the rose-gold plate.
The finished piece
It suits a narrow dining room, or a console table in an entrance hall where it is seen side on.
We build the M31 in our Hyderabad factory and deliver it to homes across the city, from Gachibowli and Kondapur to Tellapur, Gandipet and Jubilee Hills.
Your room is not this room. Bring photographs and we will draw to it.
