A compact table that wants a column with classical fluting
Fluting is the oldest decoration a column has, from Greek temples onwards, and it still makes a plain shaft look finished.
Model A68 flutes its black column from top to bottom, so a compact 120 × 60 cm table stands on a modern classical column.

A fluted column
Vertical flutes run the full height of the column, each one casting a fine line of shadow.
Matte black
A matte black finish makes the fluting graphic and modern rather than classical and ornate.
A plate
The column stands on a plate that steadies the table and keeps every side free for chairs.

Black powder-coated steel on a plate, photographed on its mounting frame without a top; it can be finished in gold.
The making
The column is fluted from steel, welded to its plate, ground carefully so every flute stays crisp, and then powder-coated black.
The finished piece
Beneath a round or square white marble top it makes a modern classical table for a dining corner.
