A modern table that wants legs with a sense of motion
Straight cylindrical legs are strong but static, and a long dining table can afford to look as if it is in motion.
Model T253 tilts its two mirror-steel cylinders, so the table leans forward like a sculpture caught mid-step.
Four decisions
Two slanted cylinders
One cylinder leans in at each end, carrying the top while giving the base a strong sense of direction.
Mirror steel
The cylinders are polished to a mirror, so they catch the light and reflect the room around the table.
Long sides free
With the support at the ends, the long sides of the table are free for six to eight chairs.
For long tops
It carries tops of 160 to 200 cm long, in sintered stone, Italian marble or toughened glass.
Materials, named
Mirror-polished stainless steel cylinders, photographed on their mounting frame without a top; they can also be finished in gold.
The making
Each cylinder is rolled and welded, cut at its angle and polished to a mirror, then fixed to the mounting frame on a jig.
The finished piece
It suits a contemporary dining room with steel fittings, a long white top and leather chairs.
