A café that needs sets that seat four and survive daily service
Cafés need tables that seat four in a small footprint, survive hundreds of wipes a week, and still look warm when the room fills up.
Chieti is a timber trestle table with four chairs, drawn for exactly that kind of daily service in a busy Hyderabad café.
Four decisions
120 × 60 cm for four
Compact enough to add covers to a busy floor, and wide enough for four plates and a shared dish.
A trestle frame
Two trestle ends and a stretcher: the strongest simple way to carry a timber top through years of use.
Four chairs in the set
Four matching chairs with upholstered seats, so the whole floor of a café looks consistent.
A hard-wearing finish
The walnut-grain top is lacquered to handle constant wiping, hot cups and the occasional spilt chai.
Materials, named
Walnut-grain top under a hard lacquer, trestle legs in walnut-finished timber, and chairs with upholstered seats in a wipe-clean cover.
The making
The trestle ends are cut and jointed, the stretcher fixed, and the top lacquered in several hard coats suited to commercial use.
The finished piece
It suits cafés, canteens and casual restaurants in Hyderabad that want warmth and durability in equal measure.
We make the Chieti in our own Hyderabad factory and deliver it ourselves, to apartments in Kondapur and Madhapur as readily as to villas in Narsingi.
